The incessant ramblings of a crazy man

Ok folks, Lets talk about pieces of shit.

No no wait, don’t run away, we’re talking about human pieces of shit. Despicable fucking assholes with no personal accountability, though it took a while to figure out this guy, he hid it well for the most part.

I work at a boat dealership, as the 1 and a half person who visit this blog probably know, and recently had an employee pull some shit here. Now let’s not state his name, because no one will know him, so no reason putting that out there. For the sake of story we’ll refer to him as “Richard”…you know…because he’s a dick. I’ve worked with “Richard” for a few years now, we’ve had our arguments, which always happens when you work in close proximity as I was with him more of the day than I wasn’t with him. We got along ok, I’ve even gone to his house for dinner a couple of times, talked out side of work some times, so it wasn’t just working with someone you hate. There’s your back story.

So “Richard” gives his notice, with just about tears in his eyes. He feels bad, saying how the owner has treated him so great, paying him more than he should, giving him a lot more leeway than he should. No worries, he found a new job that he makes the same and doesn’t work weekends, yeah that’s going to fuck me hard until they hire someone else to help me, but whatever, good for him, it’s an opportunity he can’t pass up. So we continue to work together, for a week before he leaves. His last day was supposed to Saturday. No big deal, he’ll finish out the week, then start his other job the following week. Thursday morning (our late night, I work 9-8 which sucks.) the owner of the place talks to “Richard” and was upset with him as “Richard” like an idiot (or possibly vindictively) tells a customer something he shouldn’t have told them. The owner doesn’t scream at him, but is upset and basically says “why the hell would you tell someone that?!” and he never is a man and doesn’t own up to the fact that he did it. We know he did it as he told another coworker that he had done it. “Richard” finished the talk, and goes back down to his department. He’s a little upset, claiming his innocense, which I later find out is bullshit, and says “I’m gonna go grab a coffee.” Ok, coffee, no worries, go ahead, cool off if you need, and “Richard” heads on out the door. Dunkin Donuts is 3 minutes up the road. 15 minutes later…no “Richard.” 30 minutes late…no “Richard.” I get an idea and glance over to his area and notice the picture of him and his family is no longer there. That triggers it in my mind.

The piece of shit just left, without saying anything, not so much as a good bye. I figure hrm, maybe it was gone and I didn’t notice, and hold out hope he’s not a complete piece of shit and would pull something like that. Now a little back story, we had some other Salesman here who pulled something similar, he’s had family/personal issues for a long time now, was having trouble getting everything straight. He takes his layoff (we do a few week layoff over the winter to give people a break, and since it’s not very busy.) It’s this salesman time to come back, and he doesn’t show up. We call, no call back. So he’s another one, just took off, hasn’t come back to say bye or offer any sort of reasoning. “Richard” hated that. And he would comment CONSTANTLY about how this guy wasn’t being a real man, he can’t believe he pulled this shit, he had a lot of friends here, he worked here for a while, and he just left without saying anything, what an asshole. He can’t be a real man and come say goodbye to anyone…and on and on. Back to my angry little … well…getting long…vent. “RICHARD” PULLED THE SAME FUCKING THING HE WAS TALKING ABOUT HOW THIS OTHER GUY WASN’T BEING A MAN BY DOING. Hypocritical fucking asshole.

It gets more. “Richard” calls an employee here to have her fax him whatever paperwork he needs or whatever, and just says “tell people bye for me.” We need the keys back from him, so he comes back in in a week after being away on his training. It’s a Saturday, I’m working up front by myself, outside helping someone in the parking lot and I see his car pull in, he sees me out there and he goes in the side door. I end up back up front, waiting to see if he was going to come over to say bye or anything, and sure enough the short hypocritical harry and the fucking hendersons look ape just leaves. That’s it…doesn’t saying bye to me, or anything at all, just fucking leaves.

Good god I was pissed. Still am. I had nothing to say to him at that point, but it was his place to put the effort forward after working with me for like 3 or 4 years at this point. Blah, whatever, that’s the story. I’m sure no one read it, it was just a chance for me to vent, and in any case “Richard” reads this at some point I think you’re a fucking worthless hypocritical fucking self serving piece of shit.
